Brecksville Nurse Practitioner : James Yanke
Growing up in a family with a long history in the Orthotic and Prosthetic industry greatly influenced James’s decision to pursue a career in healthcare. His interest in science and the structure and function of the human body led him to pursue his college education at Kent State University. In 2005 James graduated with honors, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Health Studies with a concentration in Health Science. In 2007 James obtained a secondary degree, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
James began his nursing career on the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgical Telemetry unit at University Hospitals. His career continued at UH while he worked toward completing an advanced practice nursing graduate degree. In 2012, James received a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on Primary Care of the Adult. Later that year he obtained his Nurse Practitioner certification and is currently credentialed through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). He is primarily responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients, administration of intra-articular joint injections, nerve blocks, and trigger point injections.
James resides in Medina with his wife and two children. When he’s not spending time with his family, you can find James in his workshop where he enjoys metal fabrication, forging, leatherwork, restoration and automotive repair. He also enjoys landscaping, gardening, basketball and boxing.
